Carteret County Big
Sweep....
CCCKC worked for the state-wide Big Sweep effort in
September. Members
volunteered to help Elmer Eddy and the NC Coastal Federation on the
White
Oak as well as our own effort on the newly aquired Sugar Loaf Island across from
the Morehead
City waterfront. There are many areas accessible ONLY from canoe or kayak.
As a result of our efforts there was a large amount of trash gathered,
but as those involved will attest, a great deal needs to be accomplished
A certificate of appreciation was presented to the club as pictured
below.
