18-19 Neuse River Days at Union Point Park in New Bern, NC. Saturday will be full of paddle, sailing and human powered raft events. There will be two marathon races, a 4 and a 8 mile race. One on the Trent River and the other on the Neuse River. There will also be four  fun relay team races and a Poker Run for kayakers and canoeists. A Sun Fish sailing Regatta will be held off of Union Point in the Neuse and there will be two human propelled raft races in the afternoon. There will be food vendors, several kayak outfitters and other water sports exhibitors. On the 19th there will be a series of kayak and canoe oriented workshops at Union Point. These will include paddle clinics, a photography on the water clinic and several others. A fun recreational paddle will start in the afternoon and conclude the day. We are printing out a brochure and can send more info as you or Bill see  fit. I hope we can get some good club participation at some of these events. The 4 mile paddle would be a good one for many of our members as there are gender and age categories including one for us seniors. The prizes are good.
